KOMPAS-3D installation and launching |

Installation of KOMPAS-3D is possible if the user has administrator rights.
1.Run the Setup.exe file from the setup package. The installation of KOMPAS-3D for mechanical engineering and instrument making will begin.

The path to the installation folder must consist of Latin characters only. |
2.Follow the prompts of the setup program.
In the setup program window, select the installation type: Full or Custom, see figure.

If you select the first variant, all the software components will be installed. If you select the second variant, you’ll be able to select the components to install, see figure.

Selecting components of KOMPAS-3D
If required, you can interrupt installation of the Base Package without having to wait for its normal termination. To do this, click the Pause button in the program settings window.
If the Base Package installation of KOMPAS-3D has been completed normally, in the Start menu of the operating system, the KOMPAS-3D v23x64 group is automatically created.

If your KOMPAS-3D is used with the Document Protection System Add-on, its version should be v4. |

Simultaneous installation of different versions of KOMPAS-3D systems on one computer or availability of two and more copies of the same version on one computer is not permitted. Simultaneous installation of multiple KOMPAS-3D systems on one computer can lead to the inoperability of all copies. |

You must save the installation package. It is required if there is a need to change or restore the KOMPAS-3D installation. |
