The method for selection of objects to be included in the report is configured using the Method group of buttons on the Parameter Panel. The set of buttons will be different for the model and the drawing (see description below). The fragment does not contain any methods for selection because all objects in the fragment are included in the report.

Types of objects to be included in the report are configured in the Filter Conditions section in Parameter Panel (see section Filtering of objects included in the report). If a type is disabled, then objects of this type will not be included in the report and will be unavailable for manual selection.

Model document

The following methods of object indication are available:

Select all up to the specified level — in the assembly and part report containing components, components up to the specified level and solids obtained by operations in the assembly/part are automatically included.

After selecting this option, the Parameter Panel contains the Levels list, allowing you to specify the level number up to which the automatic object selection is performed.

Select all by all levels — in the assembly and part report, containing components, components of all levels and solids obtained by operations in the assembly/part are automatically included.

Select objects manually — objects that are included in the report are selected manually. The selected objects are highlighted, their list is displayed in the Objects in Parameters toolbar. Click on an object for the second time to remove it from selection.

Drawing

The following methods of object indication are available:

Select current view — the report automatically includes all objects of the current view.

Select all views — in the report objects of all drawing views are automatically included.

If a document contains several views of one model, no information will be duplicated : only the main view will be used in the report. The view used to obtain all the other views, or the one that was created first, is considered the main view.

Choose objects manually — views, objects of which are included in the report, are selected manually. The selected views are highlighted, their list is displayed in the field Objects of the Parameters toolbar. Click on a view for the second time to remove it from selection.

If either the Select current view or the Select all views method is selected, the Parameters toolbar will contain the By all levels switch.

•If the switch is in position 0 (disabled), the Parameter panel will contain a list for selecting the required level.

•If the switch is in Position I (enabled), objects of all levels will be selected.

The action of the switch applies not only to objects that are included in the report automatically, but also to objects of views that are selected manually.
