Converting texts |
Scroll |
When importing DXF or DWG documents, you can convert the texts as follows:
•replace fonts,
•adjust text height and horizontal scale,
•replace characters:
•with other characters or character sets of a TrueType font (you can use different TrueType fonts for different characters),
•with KOMPAS-3D special characters.
You can convert both SHX TrueType fonts of the source document.
The conversion settings are stored in the *.tfn files. You have to create a *.tfn file for each font to be converted. The *.tfn files should be located in the \TFN subfolder inside the folder with the dwgdxfImp.rtw application file for importing DWG and DXF files. The software includes the *.tfn files for several SHX and TrueType fonts. These files also contain the description of structure and syntax of the *.tfn files.
|
The *.tfn files are used during import, if the Convert text from OEM to ANSI and Match texts to system ones settings are disabled in the import setup dialog box. |
The *.tfn files are text files, you can view and edit them in any text editing program, including Notepad in Windows.
When importing, all the *.tfn files in the \TFN folder are processed except for the filenames starting with "~" (tilde). This way you can exclude any *.tfn from being used without deleting this file from the \TFN folder. The *.tfn files may have any names but it is recommended to use the names fully or partially corresponding with the names of the fonts.
|
The name of the SHX file or the name of the TrueType font described in a specific *.tfn file is indicated in the text of this file and does not depend on the name of the *.tfn file. |
