When importing DXF or DWG documents, you can convert the texts as follows:

replace fonts,

adjust text height and horizontal scale,

replace characters:

with other characters or character sets of a TrueType font (you can use different TrueType fonts for different characters),

with KOMPAS-3D special characters.

You can convert both SHX TrueType fonts of the source document.

The conversion settings are stored in the *.tfn files. You have to create a *.tfn file for each font to be converted. The *.tfn files should be located in the \TFN subfolder inside the folder with the dwgdxfImp.rtw application file for importing DWG and DXF files. The software includes the *.tfn files for several SHX and TrueType fonts. These files also contain the description of structure and syntax of the *.tfn files.

The *.tfn files are used during import, if the Convert text from OEM to ANSI and Match texts to system ones settings are disabled in the import setup dialog box.

The *.tfn files are text files, you can view and edit them in any text editing program, including Notepad in Windows.

When importing, all the *.tfn files in the \TFN folder are processed except for the filenames starting with "~" (tilde). This way you can exclude any *.tfn from being used without deleting this file from the \TFN folder. The *.tfn files may have any names but it is recommended to use the names fully or partially corresponding with the names of the fonts.

The name of the SHX file or the name of the TrueType font described in a specific *.tfn file is indicated in the text of this file and does not depend on the name of the *.tfn file.
