Creation of standard and arbitrary views is available regardless of whether there are any associative views or not in the drawing.

Creation of all the other views is possible only on the base of existing views.

Views used in creation of other views are referred to as referenceviews. So, for example, for a projection view the reference is that relative to which the direction of building this projection view is specified, and for a cut or section – a view containing the image of a line of section, etc.

By default, the view has the same settings of drawing (see section Lines) and objects rendering (see section Objects and Detailing elements), which is also the reference view.

If there is a break in the view, then in a projection view created on its base, in a view in the arrow direction, or in a cut/section a break with the same parameters can be created automatically. To that end, it is necessary that the direction of projection be perpendicular to the direction of image shift in the reference view.

With breaks generated automatically, you can perform the same actions as with the breaks generated using the Break in View command – manage the display in the document, edit, delete, and so on. Work with breaks is described in detail in the section. Break in View.

Standard drawing views of the model are determined based on its absolute coordinate system.
