Use the Parameter Panel elements presented in the table to configure the measurement parameters.

Measurement parameters controls

Element

Description

Point position, First point, Second point, Vertex

Coordinate fields of the points specified for the measurement.

Decimal Places

List that controls the display of the measurement results. The minimum number of decimal places is 0, the maximum number of decimal places is 10.

Length Units

The list for selecting units of length measurement: millimeters, centimeters, decimeters, meters.

Angular units

A list for selecting units of angle measurement: degrees, radians.

Measurement Mode

A group of buttons that allows you to select the mode for measuring lengths and areas:

A measurement result does not depend on a current view scale — allows obtaining a true measurement result.

By paper — allows you to obtain the result in the view scale. Linear values measured "on paper" are obtained from the true values by multiplying by the scale of the view, and the area values by multiplying by the square of the scale.

The button group is available for the commands Distance between two objects, Distance between Two Points on Curve, Curve length, Area, Point coordinates, if the scale of the current view differs from one unit.

Create point/points

A toggle switch that controls the drawing of auxiliary points generated during the measurement.

Create point in the center of gravity

A toggle switch that controls the drawing of point in the center of gravity of the shape. Only for the Area command.

Style

A list for selecting a point style. Available if the switches Create point/points and Create point in the center of gravity are set to the position I (on).

Bisector

An option that controls the drawing of the bisector for the measured angle. When the option is activated, the bisector of the measured angle is constructed during the measurement.

Actions of controls: Create point/points, Create point in the center of gravity, Style and Bisector propagate to the next measurement.
