Libraries of elements are designed for storing and inserting into documents of the most frequently used fragments, models, texts and drawings.

A library file has the kle extension (Kompas Library of Elements). The library may contain the following elements:

•fragments (*.frw),

•assemblies (*.a3d),

•parts (*.m3d),

•bitmap images (*.bmp, *.jpg, *.png, etc.),

•text documents (*.kdw),

•txt files.

KOMPAS-3D is supplied with several libraries of elements, e. g. Library of figures and conventional symbols, Fixture element models, Standard texts.

You can create customized libraries of elements yourself and add them to the configuration.
