Service Tools application contains commands to execute various operations in graphic documents, sketches and BOMs. Commands with similar purpose are grouped in sections.
See the table for description of commands.
Description of Service Tools commands.

Description |
|
Operations with BOM |
You can use commands in this section to execute the following actions with the BOM: •transform into a fragment (files *.frw), into a database table (files *.dbf) or MS Excel (files *.xls); execution of the command creates a new file – a fragment or a table where data from the BOM will be placed; •handle numerical columns – assign variables to values in columns and associate them with equations for the execution of arithmetic operations with them; calculated values are entered into the BOM cells. |
|
Holes and Thread Designations |
The section contains commands that you can use to create cosmetic threads or recessed and through, clearance and threaded holes of the following types: •Simple, •Conical, •With countersink, •With counterbore, •With countersink and counterbore. You can construct holes and threads based on the sample – a hole or a thread already existing in the document. You can also construct holes using a previously created file template. Holes and threads can be attached to the curve; in this case, after changing the curve you can reconstruct them, i.e. restore their position on the curve. |
|
Alignment of Objects |
The section contains commands that you can use to align edges or centers of bounding rectangles or contours of the specified objects (or the group of objects) by the selected point, or to align centers of these rectangles. |
|
Rotation of Objects |
You can use commands in this section to execute the following actions with an object (or a group of objects): •rotate by 180° or 90° to left/right around the center of the bounding rectangle or contour of the object or group; •display relative to the straight line going vertically or horizontally through the center of the bounding rectangle or contour of the object or group. |
|
Tools |
You can use commands in this section to execute the following actions: •transform fills to hatches and vice versa, •approximate contours or curves, •insert prefabricated shapes, signs, designations from the fragment library into the document, •search and replace one fragment of the text with another, •identify dimensions whose nominal value was entered manually and not set automatically, •form associative relations among dimensions and objects to which they are affixed, •align geometric objects by continuing them until the point of their intersection or by trimming in the intersection point, •construct objects similar to the specified one (i. e. equidistant lines), •calculate mass-centering properties of the profile, •create and edit the text placed along the arbitrary curve, •hide selected objects by moving them onto the hidden layer. |
|
Operations with contours |
The section contains commands that you can use to execute the following actions: •construct a closed contour by intersecting curves; •construct a closed contour by adding, deducting or intersecting of the two specified contours; •identify open contours in the document. |
