Writing to the data file is available for objects of the following types:
•spline and broken line (when working with the table of parameters, see section Point parameters table),
•arrays (when managing instance variables, see section Managing array instances parameters; when specifying instance positions of an array using the table, see section Specifying point coordinates).
The parameters of each object (point or array instance) are located on a separate line. For points, the maximum number of parameters in a line is four, for instances the maximum number is unlimited. A space or several spaces is used as a delimiter of parameter values, and a period is used as a decimal separator.
Point coordinates are measured in absolute coordinate system.
Decimal places in the file values depend on the setting made in the number scheme settings dialog (see section Number representation).
For a spline, broken line, and arrays, the data lines in the file are combined in one group.
For a spline form the lines are combined into several groups. Each group contains the pole parameters for one row of the spline form grid and is separated from the next group with an empty line. The number of groups is equal to the number of grid rows.
