The element

Description

Name

In this field, you must enter or edit the name of the attribute type.

Unique Type Number

This field displays a special number that the system automatically assigns to this type.

Constant Length

Variable length

Select the desired type of attribute type Table

Number of Rows

Enter the desired value in the field. Available when choosing a table type Variable length.

The bottom part of the dialog displays a table that is used to create or edit a description of the type structure. Each row contains information defining the way a column is formed in an attribute.

Number

Automatically assigned column number

Column name

This field specifies the name (title) for the attribute column.

Column Type

This field sets the data type in the column. To open the data type change dialog, left-click on the field and then click the Change type button.

Value Range

This field sets the range of values allowed for the data in the column. To change the range of values, left-click on the field and then click the button that appears, the name of which depends on the type of data in the column.

Default value

In this field, you can enter a default value for the column.

Add

To add a new attribute type column, click.

Delete

To delete a column, select it and click the button.

Move

To change the position of the active row, click the button and point the mouse to the new position of the row.

Password

If necessary, you can set an access password to the attribute type structure (for example, to protect against unauthorized editing of the structure). To open the password assignment dialog, click the button.
