The parameters for generating the numbers of new versions of the product are set up in the Generating numbers for new versions dialog. The dialog appears on the screen after calling the Settings — Parameters... — Current BOM — New version numbers command.
A similar dialog is used to set up the formation of numbers for new versions in the drawing.

Separating character |
The field allows to assign the character which will be displayed before the number in the version designation. |

Insert zeros before number |
The option allows to control adding of zeros before the number entering being part thereof. With this option enabled, zeros are added, if disabled – not. The number of added zeros depends on the specified number length. |

Number length |
The dropdown list allows to set the minimum quantity of number length. |

Start from |
The field allows – using a counter – for entering or setting a number from which the numbering of versions will start. |
On completion of the set-up, press the OK button. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.

The setting will apply to the numbers of those versions of the product that will be created in the document after its execution. Numbers of the versions existing before this will remain the same. |
