Display Precision and CMP |

Display precision and calculation of center of mass properties, as well as precision of calculation of the areas of edges in a part or in an assembly is made in the Precision of display and CMP dialog. The dialog is opened with the command Settings — Parameters... — Current part/assembly — Precision of display and CMP.

Display Precision |
Allows for increasing or reducing the precision of approximation of curvilinear edges and lines of model sketch with segments of straight lines, and curvilinear surfaces – with triangles. Change of model display precision affects only the display of solids created in this model or those inserted into it as blanks, and surfaces created in this model or imported into it. The display precision of model assets should be set up in their files. To edit the precision, move the slider between the Rough and Fine positions. The preview window of the dialog shows the image of sphere surface at the selected precision degree. Set a precision sufficient for comfortable operation. Note that the higher precision, the more time is required for calculations. |

Precision of calculating CMP |
Allows for increasing or reducing the error of calculating the mass properties of Model MP and the areas of faces. To edit the precision, move the slider between the Low and High positions. The higher the precision, the longer time it takes for calculations. It is not recommended to use the maximum precision without emergency, since calculation at such a precision takes considerable time. Note that CMP calculation and areas in the current model is performed at an accuracy set for this model. The accuracy set for components during their creation or editing is ignored. |
On completion of the set-up, press the OK button. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
