Description of setting

Automatic Page Numbering

The option controls auto numbering of pages.

•If the option is enabled, ordinal numbers are assigned to all the document pages, and the number of pages is counted automatically, or is taken to be equal to a specified value. Manual entry of characters into the columns of the Sheet number and the Number of pages title blocks is impossible.

•If the option is disabled, then the Sheet number and Number of Pages columns in the title block of the current document are not filled. You can input an arbitrary number for each document page and an arbitrary number of the total number of pages.

The number of the first page

The field allows to input the first page number – a number from which automatic numbering will start. By default, it equals to unity. You can enter or set the required value using a counter. The field is available with the Automatic Page Numbering option enabled.

Number of Pages

The group of options is used to indicate the method to determine the number of pages in a document.

Auto Determination

The option allows for automatic counting of the actual number of pages of the current document and input of the resultant value into the Number of Pages column of the title block. Additional Pages (if any) are included into the total number of pages.

Predefined

The option allows for setting an arbitrary number of pages in a document. That may be required if the current document is part of another document consisting a known number of pages.

The field to the right allows for entering the required value manually or setting it using a counter. The set value is entered into the Number of Pages column of each page of the current document.
