Description of setting

Automatically detach libraries plugged in in the "blind" mode

In some cases, the application is connected to KOMPAS-3D automatically (in the so-called 'hidden' mode). Names of the add-ons thus plugged in are not displayed in the menu Add-ons. Examples of an application plugged in the "blind" mode are:

•running of commands for export/import of files,

•editing the parameters of the document objects created by an application,

•fetching application commands by pressing the respective button on the custom Commands toolbar.

For time-saving purposes, repeated plugging in applications upon a new access to them, such applications by default are not detached from the system automatically upon runtime completion.

When using KOMPAS-3D in single-user mode, this is not relevant. However, when using KOMPAS-3D in a network, this helps retain the 'floating' application license for the network protection key. In other words, an application not used but not detached from the system will take one of the network licenses, thus preventing the launch of the same application on another computer.

Enabling the option automatically unloads the applications plugged in to the system "blindly" upon their runtime completion. Another method is manual detachment of the application in the Configurator.

Be sure to enable this option if, during network operation with the KOMPAS-3D system, the number of licenses for the application (e.g., for the DXF export library) is less than the number of licenses for the KOMPAS-3D system (e.g., 5 licenses for KOMPAS-3D and 2 licenses for the DXF export library).

Automatic detaching is not available for the following applications:

•Stock products,

•Mechanics: Springs,

•Equipment: Flat pattern.
