Technical specifications – Parameters |
Scroll |
Parameters of technical specifications for a current drawing are set up in the Specification options dialog, invoked by the command Setup — Parameters... — Current drawing — Document settings — Technical requirements — Parameters.
The dialog contains the following options:
•The Set numbering when creating option controls auto numbering the items of technical specifications upon their entry. If it is enabled, the numbering of paragraphs of technical specifications is set automatically. Enabling or disabling this option does not affect the technical specifications already existing on the current drawing.
•The Place on last document pages option controls the default placement of technical specifications.
•When the option "Place on the last sheets of the document" is enabled, the technical requirements page is automatically generated on the last sheet of the document. If the volume of text of technical specifications exceeds one page, then a new page is generated on the previous page. The text of technical specifications is distributed among the pages as follows.
•The start of technical specifications is moved to a page of the previous sheet, and the page is filled to the full.
•The text going beyond the limits of this page is placed on the page of technical specifications placed on the last page.
Newly entered technical specifications will fill this page. If during continued entry of technical specifications their volume again exceeds the page size, a next page will be generated automatically on the previous page, and the text of technical specifications will be redistributed among pages in a way similar to the above described. Therefore, on entry of technical specifications their start will be moved to the previous drawing sheets.
•With the Place on last document pages option disabled, a page of technical specifications is generated on the first drawing sheet. If the volume of text of technical specifications exceeds the page size, a new page will be automatically generated to the left of the frame of the first sheet. In so doing, the start of technical specifications remains on the first drawing sheet. On subsequent input of technical specifications, they will be displaced from the first drawing sheet to the left.
The state of this option determines the result of running the Auto Location of Technical Specifications command. Enabling or disabling this option affects the position of technical specifications, unless it was changed manually (see section Location of technical specifications in the drawing).
•The Synchronize technical requirements option controls automatic transfer of technical specifications from model to the drawing. If it is enabled, then during creation of an associative view the technical specifications defined in a model are handed over to the drawing; and if disabled – then not. Conditions for transfer of technical specifications from model to the drawing and methods of their updating after editing are described in section Transferring technical requirements from the model to the drawing. Synchronization.
Upon completion of setup of the specification options, press the OK button. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
The setting of specification options is stored in the drawing itself and will not change during its transfer to another work place.
