Copying a component using the mouse |

The component can be copied in the graphic area and in the Design Tree of the model.
When copying a component, another insert of this component is created in the model file.
Copying a component in the graphic area of the model
Copying a component in the graphic area of the model allows you to create a copy of the component only in the current model (not in its subassembly). For copying you can select a component of both the current model and its subassemblies. The position of the component copy in the assembly coordinate system is set arbitrarily.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Press <Ctrl>.
2.Keeping the key pressed, set the cursor on the component in the graphic area and click the left mouse button.
3.Move the mouse.
The phantom of the copy of the selected component will appear on the screen, and the cursor will look like

The Copy or move component command will be executed.
4.Release the mouse button and the <Ctrl> key.

Also you can select the component for copying in the Design Tree. To do this, select the component in the Tree, press the <Ctrl> key and drag the component from the Tree to the graphic area of the model. When the component is in the graphics area, release the mouse button and then the <Ctrl> key. |
5.Move the cursor in the graphic area. The phantom of the copy will also be moved.
6.When the phantom reaches the desired position, click the left mouse button.
A copy of the component will be created in the model, and a phantom of the next copy will appear on the screen.
7.Make all the necessary copies of the component.
8.To complete operation of the command, click the Finish

Copying a component in the Model Design Tree
Copying a component in the model Design Tree allows you to create a copy of that component in the current model or in its subassembly. Such copying results in components overlapped by each other (to change the position for one of them, the original component or the copy component, use Commands for moving and rotating a component.
To copy a component, press <Ctrl> and drag the component line to the line of the appropriate object:
•the Components section of the current model – a copy will be created in the current model,
•a subassembly or its Components section – a copy will be created in the subassembly.
When dragging, the icon and the name of the component being copied are displayed next to the cursor. The display of the rows of the Tree changes. The line of the object to which the component can be copied is highlighted in green, and a "+" icon is displayed instead of the object pictogram. If copying cannot be performed, the object line is highlighted in red.
