Reading tables |

Tables contained in an imported DXF or DWG document can be imported in one of the following ways:
•Table — table gets converted into a KOMPAS-3D table, which can be edited by standard methods for tables. The resulting table may look slightly different from the original in the AutoCAD document.
Use the Table reading method if it is important that the imported table can be modified: add/remove rows and columns, change the way the text fits the cell size, etc.
When using this reading method, the cell borders depending on the thickness receive the following line styles:
•0.0...0.25 mm — Thin,
•0.3...0.9 mm — Main,
•1.0...2.11 mm — Thickened.
Borders with thickness By Layer (ByLayer) or By Block (ByBlock) receive a style according to the line thickness set for the layer or block containing the table. If the thickness for the layer or block with the table is set to Default (Default), the table borders will have the Thin style.
•Macro-element — table grid lines and texts within cells are imported as separate objects and merged into a macro-element.
Use this reading method if you want to receive a table that looks as close as possible to the original table in the AutoCAD document. Some editing options are also available in this case, for example, you can correct the texts in the macro-element. But in most cases substantial modification of the table represented by a macro-element is time-consuming.
You can select the method of reading tables in the table at Properties.
