Hardware requirements |
Scroll |
The KOMPAS-3D software runs on processors with x86-64 architecture (also referred to as x64 architecture).
Minimum |
•CPU with SSE2 and AVX support •graphic adapter with OpenGL 2.0 support •all the other components of minimum hardware configuration to install and run KOMPAS-3D are defined by the minimum system requirements of the corresponding operating systems |
AVX support is required if the Full installation type is selected or if the Custom type includes the Extended Proprietary Format Readers installation. |
Recommended for optimum performance |
•multi-core CPU (4 cores or more), 3 GHz or higher •16 GB RAM or more •video card with OpenGL 4.5 support, with 4 GB of video memory or more, video memory bandwidth of 140 GB/s or more •display with 1920x1080 or higher resolution |
Recommended for large assemblies |
•multi-core CPU (6 cores or more), with the fastest available clock frequency (4 GHz or higher) •64 GB RAM or more •video card with OpenGL 4.5 support, with 8 GB of video memory or more, video memory bandwidth of 240 GB/s or more •display with 1920x1080 or higher resolution •solid-state drive (SSD) to install KOMPAS-3D and store KOMPAS documents |
Stable performance on embedded graphics cardsd is not guaranteed. |
A DVD-ROM drive is required to install the software from the distribution media.
To print documents, you can use any printers or plotters with drivers compatible with your version of Windows.
When selecting the hardware, please keep in mind that the hardware requirements increase when the tasks become more complex (detailed drawings, complex assemblies). |
The performance of KOMPAS-3D on a specific computer also depends on the performance of its particular components (CPU, RAM, etc.). For more information about optimum hardware configuration you can contact your hardware supplier. |
