Prompt to change link to component |
Scroll |
When a component is inserted into a model from a file, this model creates a link to the component source file.
If a model file is open simultaneously and the component source file of this model, when trying to save a component file under a different name, the system prompts the user about which of the files (former or renamed) must refer to the model.
If you want the model to reference the file with a new name, click References in documents should point to the new file. This may be necessary, for example, to include the edited component in the model and save its original version.
If you want the model to reference the file with the same name, click Keep references without changing. This may be necessary, for example, to keep the edited component without sending its changes to the model.
To refuse to save the file under a different name, click Close.

Links are changed only in currently open models; in the models having links to the same file, but are closed at the moment of its saving under a different name, the links do not change. |
