Name format in Document Tree |
Scroll |
The name of an object in the Document Tree can display the values of its properties. Setting the list of properties and the order of their arrangement in the document name is performed in the dialog Name format in Document Tree, which is invoked by the command Settings — Parameters… — Current part/assembly — Name format in the Document Tree, as well as after invoking the Name format in the Document Tree... command from the button menu
in the Document Tree header.
A similar dialog is used to set the name format in the Document Tree for the following documents:
•text,
•BOM,
•graphic,
•assembly,
•technological assembly.
In the Model Tree, the setting applies to the root element and its versions, to inserts of first-level components and to solids created in this model.
In the Drawing Tree, the setting applies to the root element, view inserts of another drawing, fragment insertions, insertions of macro-elements, including library ones, in the Associative Drawing Tree it also applies to the projected model and its first-level objects.
The dialog allows customizing the list of properties available for display and their order in the object name. Property values are automatically separated from each other with spaces. Any property value can be preceded by an arbitrary sequence of characters – a prefix.

The order of the properties in the list determines their location in the object name (left to right). The property in the upper line of the list takes the leftmost position in the object name, etc. By default, the values for the property Designation and Name are available for display in the name.
