The text input and editing mode is activated after calling the command to insert a new specification object (see section Adding section and BOM object) until the creation of the object is confirmed.
The text input and editing mode is practically identical to the text mode in KOMPAS-3D. In this mode, a row opens for editing in the specification table, where the text part of the BOM object will be located. Commands for formatting fonts and paragraphs become available, as well as commands for inserting fractions, indies, superscripts and subscripts, special characters, symbols, and boilerplate text.
The text cursor can be moved within a field using the <→> and <←> keys. The <↑> key moves the text cursor to the position before the first character in the field, and the <↓> key moves it to the position after the last character.
You can move between columns using the <Tab> key (from left to right) or the <Shift>+<Tab> key combination (from right to left). You can also access the required column of the BOM object by clicking on it with the mouse.
Characters entered into a column cell are either automatically transferred from line to line or automatically narrowed to fit into a single cell. This depends on whether line row autotransfer is enabled for that cell. Thus, the text part of a BOM object can occupy either one or several lines in the BOM form.
|
If, due to a very narrow text spacing, the text in the column Format or Zone becomes unreadable, according to GOST R 2.106-2019, it should be moved to the column Note, accompanied by the symbols *). The transfer can be performed automatically by invoking the Move to last column command for the required cell from the context menu. |
To confirm changes to the text part of the BOM object and exit editing mode, you can perform any of the following actions:
•click the Create object
button on the Parameter panel header,
•press <Ctrl>+<Enter>,
•click the mouse anywhere in the window outside the lines where the edited text part is placed,
•call any available command, for example, command for adding a section or item.

A special dialog is used for editing composite designations (i.e. designations that in addition to the base part contain the version number, and/or additional number, and/or document code). This dialog automatically appears on the screen when you try to enter/edit the designation in the Documentation section (because the designation in this section usually includes the document code), as well as when you try to edit the designation of the version object. Working in this dialog and the result of entering a designation are the same as when when filling in the title block. |
