Export to fragment |

You can export the current BOM to the KOMPAS–3D fragment file (*.frw). Use the following procedure.
1.Connect the Service tools (file komlib.rtw), if it is not connected.
2.Call the Add-Ons – Service Tools — Operations with BOM – Convert BOM to Fragment command.
If at the moment of calling the command in KOMPAS–3D the BOM was active, this (current) BOM will be exported.
If at the moment of calling the command the current document was other than BOM, the system will display a standard dialog for choosing a file to open. Select the required BOM in it.
If the exported BOM has more than one page, the detailing dialog will appear on the screen, see figure.
3.In the Layout options group on the Parameter panel, specify how to place BOM pages on the fragment field:
•Specify the number of BOM sheets to be placed in a horizontal row in the Number of specification sheets per row field. With a constant total number of sheets, the specified number simultaneously determines the number of rows in which all BOM sheets will be placed.
•Set the distance (in millimeters) to be left between the outer frames of adjacent specification sheets in the Interval between sheets field.
The overall dimensions of the exported specification image with the selected layout are displayed in the Overall dimensions field. To change the overall dimensions (for example, to fit the BOM on a sheet of paper of a specific size), change the spacing between sheets and their arrangement in rows.
4.If you want the sections and texts that make up each sheet of the specification to form a macro element in the resulting file, set the Write each sheet as a macro element switch to I (on).
5.To start exporting, click the button Create object
.
The system will create a new fragment and place an image of the BOM sheets in it. This image will consist of KOMPAS-3D graphic objects—segments and texts. If the corresponding option is enabled, they will be collected into macroelements. A message about the number of converted BOM sheets will also appear on the screen. Save the fragment under the required name.
All information related to the original BOM (objects, settings, etc.) will be lost in the fragment. Only the text parts of objects (as separate texts in cells), the BOM table (as segments), and the title block (as segments and separate texts in cells) will remain in it.
All the tools for editing KOMPAS-3D system graphic documents are available in the resulting fragment.

There is no link between the new fragment and the original BOM. Therefore, you should not expect that the changes made to the BOM will be reflected in the fragment obtained from it. |
