Tolerances in component size management |
Scroll |
By default, components are added to the model with nominal dimensions. If required, you can recalculate the dimensions of the component, taking into account the assigned tolerances (see section Tolerances). The component size is calculated according to the current recalculation.
KOMPAS-3D provides three system options for recalculating dimensions: To middle part of the tolerance field, by upper limit and by lower limit. A component can also have custom recalculations created in the process of editing. See section System and user-defined recalculations of dimensions.
After inserting a component you can manage its dimensions and tolerances.

Configuration of the dimension recalculation is available only for a first level component (i.e. for a component inserted directly into the current model). The specified settings for recalculating the dimensions of a component apply to the dimensions of all objects included in it. |
