When working with KOMPAS-3D models, the following options are available:
•Interchange of models (import and export) between KOMPAS-3D and other systems is possible through formats given in the table.

Import from the proprietary 3D XML format is possible provided that the Extended means of reading proprietary formats component is installed as part of KOMPAS-3D. In case of full installation of KOMPAS-3D this component is installed automatically; in case of selective installation — if the corresponding option is enabled. Additional system requirements are listed in the ReadMe.pdf file. |
•Reading models from format of the mathematical core C3D (*.c3d), as well as writing to this format.
•Writing KOMPAS-3D v24 models to the following formats:
•formats of the previous versions of KOMPAS-3D: KOMPAS v22 and KOMPAS v23.
•raster formats (GIF, JPEG, Enhanced Windows Metafile, etc.),
