Spiral plotting directions. Axis of the spiral
When building a spiral, you can change the construction direction to the opposite, as well as create the centerline. These features are available for the construction method By number of revolutions and step 
— always, and for construction methods By the number of turns and height 
and By pitch and height 
— provided that for setting spiral height chosen option By distance.
•To change the building direction, you need to click the Change direction 
button, which is located:
•when using the By number of revolutions and step method — to the right of the Step field,
•when using the By number of revolutions and height or By step and height methods, to the right of the Distance field.
•To construct the centerline, open the Additional Parameters section and enable the Axis option.

If the height of the spiral is determined by an object or a flat curve, then it is not possible to change the plotting direction of the spiral and create its centerline. |
Coordinate system
To select the coordinate system to place the spiral, use the Coordinate system section on the Parameters panel. Details...
The selected coordinate system determines the position of the base point and the orientation of the spiral axes.
If you want to keep the position of the spiral in the absolute coordinate system of the model after transferring it to another coordinate system, enable the Keep position option.
Properties
For setting the name, colors, and parameters of displaying spirals, the Properties section on the Parameters panel serves.
