Array editing and its objects |

You can edit both the created array itself by running the editing process, and change its individual objects.
Changing an array by starting the editing process
To initiate the array editing process, do one of the following:
•(not available when working in a sketch) call the Edit command from context menu of the array in the Document tree,
•(not available when working in a sketch) double-click the array name in the Document tree,
•call the Array - Edit command from the context menu of the array instance in the graphic area (if the object is only the source instance in several arrays, the Array context menu is not displayed for it).
During the editing process, you can replace the source objects or add new ones, change the grid parameters, enable or disable the creation of dimensions, delete or restore instances.
After making all the necessary changes, complete the array editing process by clicking the Create object
.
Grid parameters can also be changed using array variables.
Modifying array objects
Objects that are part of array instances can be modified: their shape and size can be controlled by moving characteristic points, parameters can be changed using the Parameters Panel, style, layer can be changed, and various editing commands can be applied to objects. Any array object can be used as a source object in other arrays. Restrictions can be set on array objects.
When editing objects that are part of an array, keep the following in mind.
Changes to the size and/or position of an object are passed on to the other objects in the array.
An object is excluded from an array in the following cases:
•if the object is edited using the operation Copy operations, Move by coordinates, Rotation, Mirror, Scale or Transform into spline with the Delete source objects option enabled,
•if the operation is applied to an object (rectangle, regular polygon, groove or projection curve) splitting or trimming,
•if the Explode command is applied to an object (rectangle, regular polygon, groove, or projection curve),
•if the command clearing a region is applied to an object.
Objects excluded from the array can be restored.
