Using the Broken line command functionality when creating other objects |
Scroll |
When some commands are executed, the broken line construction is performed in a special subprocess. The subprocess is launched after clicking the Build broken line
button on Parameters panel. Creating a broken line allows you to define the boundaries of an area. The curve created in this way is displayed in the graphic area only until the command is completed.
Procedure
1.Sequentially specify the vertices of the broken line that should bound the area. The coordinates of the specified vertex in the current coordinate system are shown in the Coordinates field, and the coordinates of the already specified vertices are shown in the point parameters table. A phantom broken line with the current parameters is displayed in the graphic area. The Create/Edit toggle is set to Create.
2.If necessary, you can enter data from an external file into the point parameters table or save the table's data to a file. The buttons above the table are used for this purpose:
•Read from file
— allows you to insert data from a file into a table. This will delete the existing data in the table.
•Save to file
— allows you to save the data contained in a table to a file. Saving is possible if at least one row in the table is filled.
3.Select whether to create a closed or open broken line. Use the Close curve option to do this.
|
When using the Clear area and Trim commands, the Close Curve option is missing. The created broken line is always considered closed. |
4.If you need to edit the broken line (move or delete vertices, add vertices between the specified ones), set the Create/Edit switch to the Edit position.
5.Once you have finished constructing the broken line, click the Create Object
button. The system will return to the process of performing the original operation.
6.If you want to cancel the construction of the broken line, click the Finish
button.
