It is available to set such orientation of the model when one of the projection planes is parallel to the screen plane. To do this, use the commands of model standard orientations.
Model standard orientations are listed in the Table.

Select a command for a required orientation. The model will rotate in the graphic area in such a way so that its position matches the specified view direction.
It is available to set orientation of standard views as well as to create a custom orientation by saving the current model orientation under some different name. The custom orientation may store information about layer states and whether the section was created in the model at the moment of saving its orientation.
To add a custom orientation and set the standard view orientation, use the View orientation.
Sometimes it is required that a auxiliary plane or a flat face of the model as opposed to the coordinate plane will be parallel to the screen plane. To set such orientation, use the Normal to… command. Details...
It is available to set the model view when you change the orientation – change smoothness of rotation or disable alignment in the dialog for changing model orientation.
