Deleting a layer |
Scroll |
You can delete any layer from the model except for the current and system layer.
Follow these steps to remove a layer.
1.In the Layers panel, select the layers you want to delete. If you know the layer name, you can use the search bar at the top of the Layers panel to select it.
2.Call the delete command in one of the following ways:
•click the Delete
button in the tool area of the Layers panel,
•call the Delete command from the layer's context menu or from the Edit menu,
•press the key <Delete>.
The layer is deleted with all objects located on it. If the layer to be deleted contains objects, the dialog to delete objects appears on the screen. You may confirm the deletion, or cancel it.

If the Layers Panel is enabled, you can only delete layers in the model or layer group. To avoid errors, the system does not allow to delete model objects: when attempting to delete them, the operation fails. If both layers and objects were selected before calling the delete command, only the layers are deleted.. To delete selected objects, go to the Model Design Tree. |

From the assembly, it is impossible to delete layers copied from source files of components placed by means of On source layers. For more details on methods of positioning a component on assembly layers.... |

When deleting a layer projected into an associative drawing in the model, the layer is also deleted from the drawing. If there are non-projected objects on the layer being deleted, they are automatically transferred to the system layer of the drawing. |
