General information about layers |
Scroll |
If you ever had to create drawings or diagrams with a great number of elements (lines, sizes, designations, etc.) on a drawing table, you are certainly familiar with the idea of employing templates for the arrangement of design documents like these. In this case the designer places different blocks of the graphic information kind of on different logical (in sense of selection of this block as separate unit) and physical (in sense of placement of the block on separate paper) levels.
While using such splitting, solution of arrangement tasks, editing specific image elements considerably is getting easier substantially. At each stage of document (drawing) development stage, used are only those information blocks which are necessary at the current moment.
Implementation of this method of operation in KOMPAS-3D is possible with the use of layers. You can create up to 2,147,483,647 layers in each view of the drawing, as well as in a fragment, it is possible to create up to 2,147,483,647 layers.
Explicit tiling or splitting a drawing view into layers is not mandatory for the user. During creation of a new tile or a drawing view, a layer with number 0 in which you can immediately start work is generated automatically.
New layers are created and managed in the Drawing Design Tree.
