Dialog for setting up writing parameters to raster file |
Scroll |
This dialog appears on the screen if, when saving a KOMPAS document, one of the raster formats was chosen.
In the dialog, you can configure the settings for writing to the raster file.

Description |

Chromaticity |
A list from which you can select the color of the image. Since the size of a raster file is proportional to the number of colors, it is recommended to use high color depth only for recording 3D models (or documents containing inserts with images of 3D models) - this will allow for the correct transmission of color transitions. After recording the file, preview it in an appropriate raster editor. If the color transitions don't look smooth enough, increase the color depth and record the file again. |
Display in grayscale |
An option that allows you to record color shades as shades of gray. The higher the color depth, the greater the number of shades of gray. Therefore, enabling this option is not the same as selecting the black-and-white recording mode, in which shades of gray are created by "blending" black and white pixels. |

All lines are thin |
To determine the thickness of lines in a raster file, the thickness of lines on paper specified at setting system lines: The pixel thickness is calculated so that when printed at the resolution specified in the Resolution, dots per inch field, the image will have the specified print thickness. The resulting number of pixels is rounded to the nearest whole pixel. For example, thin lines at the default setting (paper thickness 0.18 mm; resolution 96 dpi) will have a thickness of 1 pixel in a raster file, and when the resolution is increased to 300 dpi, they will have a thickness of 2 pixels. The All thin lines option controls the thickness of the lines: if it is enabled, all lines in the raster file will have the thickness specified for thin lines, and if it is disabled, the lines will have individual thicknesses. The line thickness on paper is a line style parameter. For system styles, it is set in the system line settings dialog, and for custom styles, it is set when they are configured. |
The All lines thin option state does not affect the thickness of the font lines. |
Scale |
The field to set the image scale. |
Resolution, dots per inch |
A field where you can enter or select the image resolution. |
Since the size of a raster file is proportional to the resolution, it is recommended to use a high resolution for recording documents containing small details and contours with significant curvature - this will allow them to be transmitted with minimal loss. After saving the file, view it in an appropriate raster editor. If you're not satisfied with the image quality, increase the resolution and save the file again. |
Document size, mm |
Dimensions of page image in mm. |
Resolution, dots per inch |
The dimensions of the page image in pixels. This value depends on the specified scale and resolution. |

Writing to raster formats is subject to the setting print filter settings dialog box. That is, the created drawing file will contain only those KOMPAS document objects whose printing is enabled when system setting. |
