You can create a midsurface in the model, which is the locus of points equidistant from two selected surfaces. The source surfaces can be faces or sets of faces of solids and/or surfaces. Faces of one set can be separate objects or a group of adjacent faces. Cutouts that are entirely within the contour of a face are ignored.

Midsurface
The middle surface is associatively connected with the original faces. When the source faces change, the middle surface also changes.
In the future, you can perform all the same actions with the middle surface as with other surfaces. For example, change the position, add thickness, apply editing operations (trim, split, etc.).
