Transferring properties from the family table to instances |
Scroll |
The following system property values cannot be propagated from the family table to instances:
• Quantity,
• Precision class,
• Object type,
• Full file name,
• Created by,
• Last modification.
The values of the remaining properties can be passed to instances, but it is necessary to keep in mind the features listed in the table.
Features of transferring some properties from the family table to an instance
Properties |
Transferring features |
|
|
BOM section |
A value is transferred from the table to an instance if it completely matches one of the section names in the standard specification: Assemblies, Parts, Standard parts, etc. An arbitrary value for such a property is equivalent to the absence of a value in the table. |
|
|
It is not possible to transfer information about a model's belonging to a subsection within a section or to a nested or additional section of BOM is impossible. |
|
Mass |
The value is passed from the table to the instance provided that the CMP of the family template is calculated by the method By mass. |
|
Density |
The value is passed from the table to the instance provided that the CMP of the family template is calculated by the method By density. If the density is not specified in the family table (there is no “Density” column), but the material is specified, then the density of the instance is determined by the name of the material by searching in the file graphic.dns.If the material is not found in it, then the density of the instance remains the same as it was in the family template. |
|
Dissect at cuts, and populated from a list |
A value is passed from the table to the instance if it exactly matches any value in the list. For example, the "Majority surface finish" property can receive the value "Without Material Layer Removal" from the table, but a value that is arbitrary text cannot. An arbitrary value for such a property is equivalent to the absence of a value in the table. |
|
Custom property with data type Integer or Real and populated from a list |
A value is passed from the table to the instance if it exactly matches any value in the list. Any other value is equivalent to not being in the table. In addition, when passing properties of these types, the maximum and minimum values set for them are taken into account. An out-of-range value is equivalent to not being in the table. If a fractional value is specified for a property of the Integer type in the table, only the integer part of the number is passed to the instance. |
|
Custom property with data type Logical |
A value is passed from the table to the instance if it is 0 or 1. Any other value is equivalent to not being in the table. |
