Model error warnings |

If errors occur while creating or editing a model, the system will notify you. An error indicator appears next to the object in the Design Tree, and a diagnostic message is displayed (see below) explaining the cause of the problem.
Some errors are critical—they prevent elements from existing, or make it impossible to continue constructing or editing the part. For example, after editing a contour in a sketch, the reference vertices for constructing auxiliary axes and planes have disappeared, and the derived element cannot be reconstructed (the model has “fallen apart”; it cannot be worked with until the error is corrected). Other errors are not as critical and do not prevent further work with the model. For example, when transferring a sketch to another face, the parametric constraints of the sketch’s graphic objects were lost. In this case, the graphic objects in the sketch are not reconstructed, the contour formed by them remains unchanged, and the element constructed based on it is not destroyed, thereby allowing derived elements to continue to exist.
A critical error is indicated by an icon
next to the object icon in the Design Tree. The diagnostic message for such errors specifies the specific cause of the conflict or loss of communication between model components (for example, «The operation lost the reference object», «Empty Sketch», «Self-Intersection of Contour» etc.). However, the model is not rebuilt (for more on rebuilding, see the section Model rebuild). It remains in the state it was in before the action that caused the error was executed.
If the error is not critical but requires user attention, an icon appears next to the object's icon
— Warning. Warnings appear, for example, in operations where the construction of certain reference objects cannot be performed with the specified parameters, or where these reference objects are no longer suitable for construction after editing. Warnings also appear if, for the selected operation result Merging or Subtraction , objects are specified in the scope of application with which there are no intersections. Diagnostic messages for warnings may be as follows: «Solids have not been merged», «Feature does not modify the model» etc.
If a model object has a warning, a warning with a diagnostic message may also appear in the associative drawing «Warnings on model operations».
You can disable the display of warnings in the Tree. This setting is configured in the Model Tree section of the settings dialog.
If there is an error in at least one of the model objects (element, component, mating, etc.), an error sign appears not only next to the icon of this object, but also next to the model icon (part or assembly). Due to this, the presence of an error in the model can be noticed even when the Design Tree is completely collapsed.

If the Design Tree contains both errors and warnings, an error icon appears to the left of the model icon (part or assembly). |
To find out what the error or warning (hereinafter referred to as "error") is, click on the corresponding icon or select the problematic object in the Design Tree and choose What's Wrong? from the context menu.
On the screen, there will appear the the dialog, in which errors that occurred while reconstructing this object are listed.
Errors are displayed in the dialog as a structured list. The description of each error is located at the level following the name of the error object.
If you view all the errors in the model, its error components (conceptual masses, auxiliary axes and planes, copies, chamfers, shells, components, matings, etc.) in the list are located at the level following the model name.
To get an explanation of a specific error and general recommendations for its elimination, click on the line of this error. The line will be highlighted in color, and a description of the probable cause of the error and how to correct it will appear below the error list. Consider which of the cases is most similar to the error in your model, note the troubleshooting recommendations and click the Close button in the dialog.
To correct the error, edit the relevant operation, sketch, or mating, or their source objects, as recommended. Often, all you need to do to correct the error is to repeat the editing of the model, that entailed this error, restoring the original values of the parameters of the objects.
If necessary, from the dialog What is wrong? you can go to the error object in the Design tree. To do that. click Go to object in the dialog or start editing the error object. To do that, click Edit.

If the model contains several errors, fix them in the order in which the error elements appear in the Design Tree. |

It is recommended to correct the error as soon as it occurs. |
