Modyfication symbol

You can customize the parameters of change markers for the current graphic document in the Modyfication symbol section of setting dialog box.

To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... and in the dialog box that appears, select Current document — Symbols for mechanical engineering — Modyfication symbol.

Symbol type

The drop-down list allows you to select a variant of the modification symbol sign:

•Square,

•Circle,

•Braces.

Sign height, mm

The field allows you to enter the size of the modifiation symbols signs: side of the square (for sign of type «Square») or circle diameter (for sign type «Circle»).

The field is absent if the list Type of sign selected Braces. The height of the brackets is determined by the font height of the change designation text.

Brace type

The drop-down list allows you to select the type of braces. The field is present if in the list Type of sign selected option Braces.

Leader type

The drop-down list allows you to select an option for specifying the length of the leader line of the change designations. The following options are available:

•Full length — the lengths of leader lines can be arbitrary.

•Limited segment, mm — all leader lines will have the same fixed length. The length value is specified in the field on the right.

Font parameters

Font	The drop-down list allows you to select the required font. The list contains all fonts connected to the OS.	2.2
Different from default font	The option allows you to set the font to match or differ from the document's default font. If the option is disabled, the font always matches the default.	2.2
Style	The element group allows you to specify straight, italic, or thickened characters.	2.2
Color	A field that displays the current color of the symbol. To change the color, click in the field.	2.2
Height, mm	The field allows you to enter a character height value (in millimeters) or select this value from the drop-down list. The manually entered value is added to the list and saved for the duration of the session KOMPAS-3D.	2.2
Width, %	The field allows you to enter a character width value or select the value from the drop-down list. A manually entered value is added to the list and saved for the duration of the session KOMPAS-3D.	2.2
Preview	The preview window shows the appearance of the text. This allows you to visually evaluate the changes made.	—

Once you've completed the settings, click Apply and Close. To exit the dialog without changing your settings, click Cancel.
