To insert a link into the text, select the Reference
command... .
The reference configuration dialog will appear on the screen.

Configure the link settings using the controls in this dialog box, and insert the link into the text.
Reference refresh — the process of regenerating the content of an existing reference.
References are updated automatically after the user performs any action that results in a change to the source object’s text (for links containing text) or the source object’s position (for links containing zone designations). In addition, all links are always updated when the document is opened and closed, as well as when switching to preview mode.
Editing a reference means changing its settings. To edit a reference, follow these steps.
1.Enter edit mode for the text containing the reference.
2.Place the mouse cursor on the reference and select Editing reference from the context menu 
.
The same dialog box will appear on the screen as when you create a reference.
1.Make the necessary changes and close the dialog box by clicking the Apply button.
2.Confirm the text changes.
Exploding a reference means removing the connection between the reference and its source. As a result, the reference’s content becomes plain text that can be edited manually. It is no longer possible to update a broken reference.
To remove the link, follow these steps.
1.Enter edit mode for the text containing the reference.
2.Hover your mouse over the link and select Explode reference from the context menu 
.
3.Confirm the text changes.
