A relief is a closed area on a body's face that forms a protrusion or a recess.

The boundary of a relief is defined by a closed contour obtained by projecting selected curves onto a face. The curves forming the contour can be edges of solids and surfaces, sketch lines, or 3D curves.

As a result of constructing the relief, new faces are formed on the body:

•An equidistant face of the original face within the resulting contour, located at a specified distance "inside" or "outside" the body relative to it,

•Lateral faces connecting the original face to the equidistant face. They are constructed along the normals to the original face.

Examples of relief construction on faces are shown in the figure.

You can add relief to both solids created within the model itself and solids created in components.
