The curve (or curves) obtained during the construction of the centerline can be smoothed—made more gradual, with smaller variations in curvature.
Reducing the curvature fluctuations of the centerline is achieved by deviating it from the points on which it is constructed by a distance not exceeding the permissible limit. The maximum permissible deviation of the smoothed centerline from the points is set by the user.
You can smooth the centerline in the Smoothing section of the Parameters Panel. To do this, follow these steps.
1.Set the Smoothing switch to the I (On) position.
2.Set the maximum deviation of the trendline from the calculated points in the Precision field. The maximum deviation can range from 0 to 10.
