Grid image at fine scales |
Scroll |
If the grid image in the graphic area is enabled, then every time the display scale is changed the system will take this change into account when redrawing the grid. When the scale becomes so fine that the grid with the set spacing cannot be drawn correctly because of its density, sparse grid is used.
The limit of grid density is determined by the value set as the minimum distance among grid points in grid parameters settings. As long as the number of pixels among points is greater than the minimum, no grid spacing occurs. As the grid scale is getting fine, the grid is spaced.
Grid spacing is performed with the spacing step taken into account. If in the grid options dialog the From series multiplicity was set, then the grid point spacing will be many-fold to numbers from the row 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000, 20000, 50000, 100000, 500000. It means that if you set such a display mode that does not allow to display each point correctly, the screen will display every second point of the grid; as the scale is getting finer — every fifth, then tenth, and so on.
If the Ratioresampling step was set, then the spacing of grid points will be always many-fold to the set number. For example, setting the spacing step multiple to 2 means that with the reduction of image scale the screen displays every second grid point, then — every fourth, then — the sixth, etc.
