Settings for Associative Drawings of a Large Assembly |
Scroll |
To speed up construction of associative views of the assembly in a drawing, prior to constructing follow these steps in the New View Options for a Current Drawing dialog box (the dialog box is invoked by the Settings — Parameters... — Current Drawing — Document Parameters — View command):
•Turn off the Library and Library options on the Library tab,
•clear all options on the Lines and Detailing elements tabs.
The above settings will show only visible contour lines of the model in a drawing.
Thread designations, as well as hidden and library components can be enabled at the final stage of working with a drawing. The inclusion of thread designations is carried out in the Decorative Elements group of the Objects section on the Parameter Panel when editing the view; the inclusion of component images is done using the Show component command from the context menu of these components in the Drawing Tree.
Display of invisible lines, transition lines and bend lines can be turned on in the Lines section on the Parameter Panel when editing the view. However, when working with assemblies with over 1,000 parts, it is not recommended to enable hidden contour lines handover to the view as it will significantly increase time of creation and rebuilding of views.

In KOMPAS-3D version 10 and later, the internal structure of the model file has been significantly improved. If the assembly model was created in KOMPAS-3D version 9 or older, it is strongly recommended to save it in the current version. It will speed up construction of views and transfer of the mass value from the model file to the drawing title block. |
