Creating a BOM document |

To create a BOM, invoke the File — Create 
command. In the new document creation dialog that appears, select the type of the new document — BOM.
A table of the new BOM will appear on the screen. You can create BOM items in it (see section BOM filling).
This table and the rules for filling it (columns, sections, use of auto sorting, number of reserved text lines, etc.) will correspond to the style that is set by default for the new BOM.
The BOM style can be changed.

You can create a new BOM based on a template. To achieve that, activate the Document by Template tab in the new document creation dialog and specify the required template. The BOM templates supplied with KOMPAS–3D contain the BOM style. You can edit the available templates (for example, by filling out the title blocks in them) or create new ones. |
