In the Property Editor you can edit properties of a document and of objects within it.

Cells which cannot be edited have a gray background. Exceptions are model properties: Mass, Material, Density, Substitute Material, Coverage, and BOM Section. Their cells background is gray, but values can be edited.

Values of properties set in the source file are displayed in blue and values of properties set in the current document – in black.

•To change a property value, click the selected cell and edit the text in it.
When editing properties of grouped objects, the changes are transferred to all the objects in a group.

•To restore a property value from the source, select the cell and run the Source command in the context menu. The command is available if one cell is selected.
If the option next to the command name is enabled, the value in the cell corresponds to the source file value.
If the option is disabled, then the property value in the document was changed.

•To copy, paste, cut, delete contents of selected rows or cells, use the context menu commands. To paste the copied content of cells, select the same range of cells and run the paste command.

•You can paste contents of separate cells or rows into documents in other Windows applications via the clipboard.

•Instead of a property value, you can paste a link to a document object. For more details about pasting and editing links, see section Link in a property value.

You can change the material and its density as well as the objects mass. For more details on CMP editing in the Property Editor, see section Setting a material in a model document. CMP Recalculation.

You can edit system properties of a document: Author, Organization, Comment.

To cancel editing a cell, select the cell and click the Source text button in the dialog. After clicking this button the cell will look the way it was after opening the dialog box.

You cannot cancel editing if a link was exploded or if values in property cells are set in the Editor dialog boxes, for example Designation, Material, Mass, etc.

To transfer changes to the document or to refresh links, click the Apply button in the dialog box. In this case you cannot cancel the changes.
