Base point of a 3D object is a point that is used as the starting point to construct geometry of an object in the model. The position of the base point of an object is determined automatically and depends on the object type and design method. For example, the base point of the component will be the origin of its absolute coordinate system, the base point of the operation built from a sketch will be the center of gravity of curves of this sketch.

The base point is displayed on the screen in the form of three mutually perpendicular vectors.

For example, the base point is displayed when you select a copied object to build an array (see Figure).
