KOMPAS-3D graphic documents and BOMs may be exported into DXF or DWG files..
You can export a file to DXF or DWG format using the corresponding command in the dwgdxfExp.rtw app. You can export automatically or manually.
(used to export the current file)
1.Select Save As... in the File menu.
The "Save File" dialog box will appear save error.
2.In the File Type list of this dialog, select the entry AutoCAD DXF (*.dxf) or AutoCAD DWG (*.dwg).
3.Select the folder to store the file, enter the file name and click Save.
The export command will run automatically, and the selected file will be exported to DXF or DWG with the current export settings.
If you want to modify the export settings, click Parameters after selecting the file type. A dialog box to configure settings of export to DXF or DWG will appear.
4.Configure export settings in this dialog (to learn about controls, see below), then click Save. The file export dialog box will remain on the screen — press the Save button.
(mostly used for exporting groups of files)
1.Run the Applications — Add application command.
2.In the dialog that appears, specify the file dwgdxfExp.rtw (by default, it is located in the subfolder ...Libs\\ImpExp of the main system folder) and click the Open button.
In the Add-Ons menu a new AutoCAD Formats Export Library command fill appear.
3.Please select Add-Ons — AutoCAD Formats Export Library and select Save as DWG or Save as DXF in the submenu .
A dialog box to configure settings of saving as DXF or DWG will appear.

When you run export automatically, the File page, where you can select the source and target files, is not available in the export settings dialog box. That's why when you run export automatically, you can only export the current document; when you run export manually, you can export the current document or any other document or several files at once (see section Exporting a group of files). |
When the export setup dialog box is closed, all the settings are recorded in an export configuration file. This file is called dwgdxfExp.cfg and it is located in the same folder as the system configuration file KOMPAS.cfg (by default it's C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Ascon\Kompas-3D\[version]). These settings are used by default for the next export operation.

Settings of export to DXF are recorded into an application configuration file separately from settings of export to DWG. These two settings are independent from each other. |
After exporting to DXF or DWG, open the file in AutoCAD or in a viewer.
Review the resulting image. If the exported file has any errors, please review this manual to locate the ways to correct the errors, then modify the export settings and try to export the file again.
