Recalculating dimensions of a component in an assembly |
Scroll |
The size of the component inserted into the model is recalculated using the Component properties command. The command can be found in the context menu of the component selected in the graphic area or the Design Tree.
After calling the command on the Parameter Panel the controls for setting the component properties will be displayed.
To resize a component according to the required recalculation, open the Source section and set the Recalculate dimensions toggle switch to I (enabled). In the Recalculation List field a listof recalculations becomes available (about recalculations, see section System and user-defined recalculations of dimensions). Select the required recalculation from the list: system recalculation or custom recalculation.
|
Note that only system recalculations are available for a local part. |
After the operation is completed, the icon of the edited component in the Design Tree will be marked with a symbol indicating that the assembly needs to be rearranged.
To see how the model will look with the changed component dimensions, click the Rearrange
button in the Quick Access Toolbar or press <F5>.
In the Design Tree the recalculated component will be marked with the letter "n" in parentheses.
