Object coordinate system |
Scroll |
The object coordinate system is the coordinate system relative to which the position and/or orientation of the object is specified.
The table lists objects that use the coordinate system.
Objects using a coordinate system
Object |
Object parameters dependent on the coordinate system |
|
Point by coordinates |
Point Coordinates. |
|
Point by moving |
Axis orientation to specify the point coordinates relative to the reference point. |
|
Point On Surface |
Coordinates of the point by displacement method By plane coordinates. |
|
Broken line, spline |
•Coordinates of vertices when using the method By coordinates. •Orientation of the axes using the methods Along X axis, Along Y axis, Along Z axis. |
|
LCS |
•Coordinates of the origin point. •Euler angles. |
|
Circular arc, segment |
Point coordinates. |
|
Sketch |
•Position of the origin of the coordinates. •Axis orientation. |
|
Imported surface |
Position and orientation. |
|
Group of points by curve, by surface |
Point Coordinates (available after the group explosion). |
|
Group of points from file |
Position of points. The points are built in the current coordinate system according to the coordinates written to file. |
|
Surface by point grid, by point layer |
The coordinates of points (created using the Point Building command) or the position of points (obtained from file). |
|
Curve by law |
Position of the curve. The curve is built in the current coordinate system based on the specified functions. |
|
Operation of changing the position of the solid or surface |
Position of the solid or surface. The solid or surface is associated with the conventional coordinate system whose initial position coincides with the current coordinate system; to specify the position of the solid or surface, you should specify the required position of the conventional coordinate system. |
|
Array by Table |
Position of array instances. The array is built in the current coordinate system by points whose coordinates are written to file. |
|
Hole in Sheet Solid |
Coordinates of the hole center with the By plane coordinates mode. |
|
Zone |
Coordinates of the opposite vertices of a zone parallelepiped and its orientation. |
You select the object coordinate system when you build an object using the Coordinate System section on the Parameter Panel. If required, you can transfer the object from its coordinate system to a different one. To do this, enter the object editing mode and select a different coordinate system using elements of the Coordinate System section.
If the object is built in the local coordinate system instead of the absolute one, the icon of this object in the Design Tree is marked with the
icon.
