General information about break in view |
Scroll |
According to the standard, long objects or their elements with the fixed or naturally changing section can be depicted with breaks, i.e. to conditionally delete the middle part. On an image, there can be one or more breaks.
In KOMPAS-3D, to perform such image transformation, use the Break in View command. It allows to conditionally delete the specified part (parts) of the image, and move the remaining parts closer to one another.
A break can be created in both associative and non-associative view.
Several types of break line are available – Wavy, Jogged, etc.
Setup of default parameters of a break line is described in section Break line.
The following order of designing a view with breaks is recommended.
1.Build all the geometrical objects in the view.
2.Create all the necessary breaks in it.
3.If the view is associative, create all the views which use the view with a break as the reference view.
4.Add detailing objects to the view: dimensions, designations, captions, etc.
