Data for BOM in assemblies and drawings |
Scroll |
Data for BOM in the document shall mean:
•the values of the properties of the product to which the document is issued – these values will be displayed in the title block of the BOM;
•values of the properties for the constituent parts of the product – these values will be displayed in the BOM table, they will be arranged into sections and sorted accordingly.
Property values can be set while editing the properties of document items (using the Properties command) or by creating or editing BOM items in a document.
BOM items can be created in assemblies and drawings. Later this document (assembly or drawing) will be connected to the BOM (*.spw file), as a result, it will be populated with data about the product and its constituent parts.
You can display and edit the data available in the document for the BOM in the subordinate mode of working with BOM items.
In documents such as part, assembly, fragment, you can create an external BOM item. External BOM object is data which will be displayed as part of the BOM items after this product is included into another as a component part, i.e., in fact, properties of the product are displayed and can be edited in the external BOM item. A document may contain only one external BOM object.
