Updating References to Variables |

When the variable value changes in the source file and this variable is referenced from the document, it is necessary to transfer to this document the new value of the variable — update the reference.
To update references, it is necessary that the source file of a variable be opened. If the source of variables is a model, then to updating the reference you can open the model containing the source as a component.

To quickly open the source file of a reference, use the Open Source File command from the context menu of the reference variable (see the figure below). The command is available only for the variable that gets a value by reference. |
After opening the source file, invoke the Rearrange 
command to obtain the new variable values.
During rearrangement of the document using references, the source file is not rearranged.
