You can plot a point in the center of an object (for components, solids and faces – in the center of gravity).
Objects to plot a point in the center of gravity can be:
•edges representing circles, ellipses or their arcs,
•sketch lines representing circles, ellipses or their arcs,
•spherical surfaces,
•faces,
•solids,
•components.
Use the Point in the Center
command to plot a point in the center of an object.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Select an object to create a point. Solids and components can be specified only in the Model Tree. The name of the object is displayed in the Object field on the Parameter panel.
A phantom of the point is displayed in the graphic area.

Only the external contour of the face is taken into account when calculating the center of gravity of the face. |
2.Advanced plotting options.
•You can select a coordinate system relative to which a point will be located. To do that, use the Coordinate System section. Details...
•You can change the name, color and style of the point display. To do that, use the Properties section.
3.To complete the operation, click Create an object
.
A point appears in the graphic area, and its icon
appears in the Construction Tree.
4.To complete operation of the command, click Finish
.
