When plotting a patch, please note the following:

A contour around the surface may not self–intersect.

If all the segments of the contour belong to the same plane or to the same existing surface then their number may be arbitrary. Otherwise there should be at least 2 and no more than 4 of them.

To build a patch use the Patch command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.In the graphic region, select the segments of the contour in the order of their connection.

The names of the selected objects will appear in the Contour field in the General section of the Parameter Panel. If the contour around the patch is located in one sketch, please select this sketch in the Design tree or in the graphic area. The phantom of the surface will appear in the graphic area.

2.If you need to check a surface for self–intersections, please enable the Self-intersection check setting. If any self–intersections are detected, a corresponding message will appear on the screen. More details on surface self-intersection...

3.You cat set the name of the patch and its display parameters using the controls in the Properties section on the Parameter Panel. Management of the color and optical properties of objects...

4.To complete the operation, click Create an object .

The patch will be displayed in the graphic area; its icon .

5.To complete operation of the command, click Finish .
